Born and raised in the city of Flint, Michigan, DJ Tron began his musical journey at a young age. During a hearing test in elementary, the instructors discovered he had a natural ear for music. It wasn’t until 2011 that he would capitalize on his talents and begin his DJ career. 

 

Over the past almost 10 years, DJ Tron has gathered experience in the Radio, Corporate, Wedding, Club, Bar, private event, and festival spaces. Along with his event experience he has also had the opportunity to open for a number of local & national musical artists such as SOMO, Kaylin & Miles, Tee-Fli, and Tinashe to name a few. Tron resided as a mix show DJ for WRCL Flint’s Club 93.7. He co-produced a weekly mix show called The Jam Session with local Flint DJ, Peter McFray.  

 

Little known fact about DJ Tron is that he is also a B-boy (breaker or breakdancer). Heavily influenced by Hip Hop and Funk growing up, he has multiple affiliations with cultural hiphop associations and groups across the state of Michigan, such as the non-profit AOTA. Tron also represents the crew Vertical Ambition which resides in his home town of Flint, Michigan. He regularly DJ’s for dance events and concerts held at the VA dance studio Fli city Studios. 

 

Shortly after graduating from the University of Michigan, Tron and his wife decided to shake things up a bit and move to Grand Rapids! They have been here for almost 3 years now, and the city and its culture has been nothing but amazing.
